l had been without a vehicle for over a year saving up to put a down payment down on one. l finally saved up just enough [a little over 1,200] and started to seek a new car.. Unfortuantly l didnt have credit. So they wanted more down. l could not wait, l have children & a very sick father. l had to buy a car with no warranty. I've had the car for 5 days now, and it is acting up. Stalling at stop lights by shutting off. And l can not get it started. I've called the dealer ship but they just laughed it off & said it was ''Just my luck''... l need your help :(.

you need to take it to autozone or napa or someplace that will scan your computer for you. see if there is any codes stored. also, l need to know the year make and model and engine size if you know. from there, go to my source and start a topic over there. we can help you from there.

well if you bought it a dealership..there should be SOME type of warranty or guarentee that they have to obey. Read EVERYTHING you signed and i'm sure you will find something in there. Worse comes to worse try to go back with someone who know alot about cars and speak to a manager, not just a salesperson. Best of luck.and thanks for answering my ques

Have someone check the battery with a volt meter to see if the alternator is charging above 12 volts, if its not charging over 12 to 14 volts then you have a charging problem. l had the same problem with a different car shut off at stop light found alternator not charging at normal capacity.

Many states if ur car cannot drive for 30 days or 300 miles just take it back & get ur money back. They may not have a warranty however u went to them to purchase a car that runs & drives. Your posistion if u the dealer who sold the car cannot make it run & drive refund me my money. Call the tow truck company that car lot dealership uses & return the car. Face to face ask them to make it run & drive. 1996 was 13 years ago almost any minor issue could cause the car not to run. Are cars a pain in the back side or what? If possable do not own a car ride a bike take public transportation. Not having enough money to buy a nicer car also means u cannot afford proper maintence & insurance. Should anything happen ur $1.200 poorer & stuck with a 4,000 pound piece of junk & r walking again.
