It started one day where if it did'nt start the first time l would have to pull the fuel pump fuse and turn the engine to burn off the gas. Then it would'nt start if the temp outside was under 60 F. It seams like it is getting too much fuel or the mixture is not right. l can smell the fuel from the cab and it has a sweet smell.

if it has a carb adjust the coke if not might want to replace fuel filter and clean the fuel system you can try coke cleaner for the outside parts and a fuel treatment for insides. might even be better if you have the system flush at a shop

20 years ago l saw this truck with 8 spark plugs & air injection exhaust manifold my reaction (are they kidding!) Ok Z-2.4 liter motor have coolant passages in the intake manifold they can leak into the combustion chambers making hard start ups. Injector (one) injector may be leaking down just watch in the throttle chamber when u turn off the motor a couple drips ok but continuous drip not good. Always run a compression test before spending lot is of cash. Really popular in Mexico Old Nissan Truck's. Sell it fast come into the modern age of cars & trucks. There is this year end sale going on a 265 hp 4.0 liter V-6 Frontier Truck that is bigger safer gets the same gas mileage tows 7,500 lbs.
