so l really wanna start somewhat small and get the babysister of the armada..the nissan pathfinder. l was going to get it brand new (09) but a friend of the family and a few others were talking about how its not worth getting new cars something a depresiated value. What is that? and is a 2005 nissan pathfinder with 58,000mi on it anygood? oh and l make like 1000 in a month..but l dont pay rent or anything. Just a credit card. l live with my folks so...l think l will be ok financing it right?
the car that l want is $10,000. and l have always been attracted to suv's. l do not like cars at all. Maybe the charger but thats to much for me
yea but l dont have the money now for a new nissan pathfinder. my fokls have the 08 armada and l love it but its to dam big. l got in a pathfinder and loved it.
o and buy the way is 10,000 dollars on a used car worth it? or just buying the new one better

deprecation is.you buy a 20,000 car.drive it off the lot.its now worth 17,000 dollars even though it only has 1/4 mile on it.cars are as good as the person driving it and care it receives.58K is not old unless guy was a hot rodder and beat it to death

l have 2008 nissan rogue which l got for $23,000. last april 2008. l pay $400. a month for it. love the car. the size is just right. do you really need a pathfinder, it is kinda big. your parents might have to co-sign with you.

if u r set on the pathfinder, my friend bought an 05 pathfinder new, & loves it still. the v6 is strong, but alittle overwhelmed by that size vehicle.

58,000 miles over three years is ~19,000 miles a year.alittle over average, but not much. make sure to do a carfax report (or something) to check it.


depreciated value is referring to the fact that when u buy a new car, & drive it off the lot it immediately looses value.

imagine if.let is say u bought a pathfinder on the 1st, & two days later u decide to sell it. Well it is now a used vehicle & u could not receive the money u spent on it in sale. so if u bought it for 28,000..you could only make 25,000 in sale. that is 3,000 in depreciated value right there.

now, if u intend to keep it forever & never sell it (or not sell for 5 or 6 years) then u should not worry about depreciated value, instead u r buying a new vehicle, which will have less maintenance worries & a longer warranty. u wo not be buying someone else is problem.

l bought new for that reason, because l do not plan on selling.

somewhat small? u realize that the pathfinder is nissan is Mid-Size SUV, competing with the chevy trailblazer, toyota land cruiser, 4runner, honda pilot, ford explorer..

not really small.but if u really like the nissan, u could also look at the nissan xterra, alittle smaller, alittle less expensive, but mostly the same vehicle. has the same V6 engine, same frame, mostly the same interior, both the xterra & pathfinder r based off the frontier pickup
