l live in Australia and i'm planning to buy a 1999 Nissan Skyline GT R34 non-turbo. But the car have triptonic/auto transmition. Is it fast and worth buying?

How fast is it 0-60mph, 1/4 mile, top speed?

If you're thinking you're going to be. ahem. ''fast & furious'' with a plain-jane Skyline, u may be slightly disappointed. That is not to say it will accelerate like a '99 Buick Century. but it will certainly be nothing like the performance of a GT-R, nor even a GT-T.

To be completely honest. There is very little performance data for the regular GT. The best l can do is give u some rough figures from which u can draw some conclusions from.

The regular GT only produces 152HP & 137lb-ft of torque from it is 2.0 normally-aspirated straight-six engine. It is only rear-wheel drive, as opposed to AWD, & '99 was the first year they replaced the 5-speed automatic transmission with the 4-speed tiptronic auto.

By comparison, the '99 GT-R could get to 60mph in 5.2 seconds & hit the 1/4 mile in 13.7 seconds. But then again, the GT-R produced 276HP & 216lb-ft of torque, or. roughly 82% more horsepower & 58% more torque than the standard GT, not to mention being able to put that power down through four wheels with the help of a 6-speed Getrag manual transmission.

So again. While l am sorry l could not come up with actual performance data for the standard GT, u should at least be able to now draw some conclusions with regard to any expectations u may have.

Finally. Is it worth it?

That is completely up to you. If it is a good price & you're more concerned with just ''looking'' fast than actually going fast, then I'd say go for it. However, if you're more concerned with real performance.. then there r countless better options out there than a base-model Skyline.
