1992 240sx stock KA24DE

at 5th gear the fastest l can go is 111mph and then it jerks and slows me down around 108mph then l go back to 111mph and it does the same thing......does anyone know whats wrong with it?
how do you fix the ECU?
how do l make it go faster?

Sounds a little strange, l dont think those things are governed. A governer on a car would typically stop you from accellerating past a point usually around 105-110 or so, but l havent heard of them jerking back to a lower speed after reaching a certain speed. I'd check to see if your specific model has a governer.

Just get ready for the people who have nothing more to contribute other than ''you shouldnt go that fast''

Your ECU is preventing you from going faster

this vehicle has a rev limiter inside the ecu .if you look at the tach you will see it is usually about 6500 rpm or so .at that speed you must want to meet someone accidently .

speed limiter although l will tell you there is a wire on your transmission that you can cut to remove it lol.

If you did an engine swap for an SR20 its because you need a new Techa meters. Your engines Revs are to low and your limiting the speed so change the techa meters you should be fine and get a new Ecu
