l am interested in purchasing a 2005 Nissan Altima for my first car. The price is pretty good at about $10,995 and the mileage is between 45-60k miles. l am looking to purchase my first car with little to no maintenance and has great gas mileage. l was looking at Honda Accords, but can not seem to find anything that l like for my budget. l know that Honda is are supposed to be great on gas, little to know maintenance, and a great reliability. Can l expect the same things from this Nissan? Thanks.

l have an '06 2.5L which is the same model and l love it. It is very roomy and responsive. l have had no issues 45K miles. l get ~30mpg. Altimas get great consumer reports ratings. If you can find a comparable Accord at the same price l would grab that though but, as you said, they are priced higher.

The Altima is are good. Just be careful. Make sure the seller has taken care of the recall notices.
