Tachometer still works. Speedometer lights up, but shows no mile per hour, stays at zero.

if its a mechanical speedo the cable from the transmission has probably broken if its electronic the sensor is faulty

On my brothers prelude, same thing happened to him. We found out that the wires that hook up to it were actually melted from the heat of the sun from the car being outside. Check your speedometer wires fully to see if thats not the problem.

Your speedo is either cable driven which has broken, or electric which means the sending unit in the transmission is shot. Speedometers are usually the last thing to suspect. The sending unit is subjected to vast changes in temperature and lots of vibration.

l have this same thing but l have a 95 pathfinder its just a cable no major problem just have it fixed it wont cost much
