I've been having alot of overheating problems with my 240 and me being a dumb a*** l was stuck n a winter storm and had to drive it up a hill. as l was diving up the hill(in 1st gear the whole time)my temp meter started to rise until at the top of the hill it went past hot and jus cut off on me. when l tried to start it up it would make this whining noise but then wouldnt make any noise.

About 2 months later my battery was dead so l charged it up and after l connected everything l tried to start it up. when l turned the ignition the engine fan started to move and made a sound as if it wanted to start it......i dunno what the hell is wrong with my car. is the engine blown?? what should l do to get my car running again??

engine probably seized up. does the engine sound like its cranking over ? if not see if you can turn the engine at the crank pulley.

More than likely ur block was distorted by the heat, which can lead to relays being melted & head gaskets warping. The Ka24 engine r mostly aluminum & therefore r more prone to this type of damage. Check all the vaccum hoses & wires/relays for any damage, then check all around the head to see if there was any warpage. If so then it may be a simple yet expensive machining job that could possibly be done at any head service garage or machine shop. If all else fails, hit up 240sx.org & hit the tech forums. This place holds a wealth of 240sx knowledge.
