How many were manufactured, and about how much were they sold for?

64,000 R34 Skylines were produced. The GT-R was not made till 1999 (the second year of the R34s production). There were many variations of the GT-R (N1, V Spec, Nismo, etc.). 1065 of them l can confirm were made by searching wikipedia (keep in mind these r much rarer than plain GT-Rs). l can guess that the final year was not the most popular year because usually the reason cars get redesigned or stop being produced is declining interest. So if l divide 64,000 by lets just say 6 to account for the skyline is 4 years of production & the declining interest & we've got about 10,000 cars. Then we take into account the trim levels & you've probably got no more than 5,000 2002 GT-Rs.

CT is correct then you have to think how many are right hand drive and how many have been crashed.

As said with so many variations of these cars & another example is 60 2002 R34 GTR is where made & shipped to the UK & sold through Nissan.So r these on figures from Japan also.
With the change to the 350gt models few where made in the R34 shape.

They are not rare at all.
It is just hard to find one for sale because people like them and do not want to sell them.
