l am getting a new car and l do not really know much differences between the altima and maxima.Which has better reviews?

well the maxima is a little bigger, has a little more luxury amenites. the altima is a just a tad smaller and simple and to the point, id rather get the maxima because everyone and der mom has an altima these days!

They are VERY different..altima is faster and the maxima is a slug with fancy features.

Haha! Good question.my father drives a Nissan Maxima & my older brother drives a Nissan Altima Hybrid. :D

Now, l wo not be able to say which is faster & which is slower, since a Hybrid runs much differently from a regular car, but there is one big difference that l would take note of; my dad is car has seats made of a type of leather, & my brother is car has seats made of a kind of suede. l personally believe that for the sake of keeping an interior clean, my dad is Maxima will probably stand the test of time (He is own his for years, while my brother just got his car back in November :) )

But since you're probably just considering to buy a regular Altima, u might want to disregard what l just said. But the fact that my family owns both cars shows that u will be satisfied with either one :)

However, l would most certainly agree with the other comments here; the Maxima does indeed hold more luxuries than the Altima.

Maxima. because it is easier and cooler to modify!

Altima is faster thats what l would choose

The maxima is the luxury version of the altima.. but it is a little slower. l have a 2007 maxima 3.5SL with a cold air intake and l can run with the altimas. . l must say l loved my 05 altima 3.5SE but im very passionate about my maxima. if l were you, l would shell out the extra cash and put it on a maxima. =)

It is annoying how everyone is saying that the Altima is better because it is faster... but is true.

It appears that Nissan is focusing their attention more on the Altima now.

The Maxima used to be the fastest with 265hp.

But the new Altima is faster with 270hp.
