and wanted to get the RB25DET swap... now that l found out that l will have to pick between the 89-94 240sx http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t248/MotiondriftR/sleepless.jpg


I've been wanting a fast car for a long time but l love the 97-98 model, but l began to realize that if l get it l will have about a 35% chance of getting the engine swap... but if l get the 89-94 model l have about 90% on getting the engine swap...
So can you please tell me what you would do in my position...

if time is not an issue wait for the car and swap you desire if you need it fast go the easier route

l do not know how strongly you want the Kouki s14 over an s13, but you can always go Silvia front on a s13 coupe or Kouki tails on a s13 hatch to look better. Personally, l would go with a s13 hatch with Kouki tails and the swap.

Nice cars & a hard choice myself owned an s13 180sx many years ago which had the ca18det engine fitted.
l do,like the s14a version also & wife is looking at getting an s14a with the sr20det engine from Japan.

Mods wise the 240sx can have a turbo kit added & gain some nice bhp limits.

Also maybe an sr20det engine maybe a swap for u in ur s14a version.

The rb25det engine is a great engine

Any car can be modded if the engine in the car u want reaches the limits u r happy with then get the car u want.

The s13 is a great car & when l got our R32 Skyline it felt very close to driving the S13,so it was no surprise to find out s13 parts fit the R32 also.
