ok this answer will end up long but l will do my best

first off all .. rip the stock turbo is off & replace them with either garret T28 or Turbonetics T3/T4 turbo's. that right there should get u 160-200 horses above stock

next r the injectors & plugs .. stock injectors suck man, simple as that. l would try & find something in the 40 to 60 lb/hr range .. that will allow more fuel into ur engine & in turn increase horsepower.
the plugs should be upgraded because aftermarket plug is provide a much hotter temperature to spark the fuel mixture with, which can increase horsepower by a bit.
with upgraded injectors & plugs, u will need to upgrade the ignition system as well. l would like to think something along the lines of an msd coil off system would be ideal for ur particular engine.
also in the engine area, the cylinder is should be bored out a little bit (say .020'' over) & replace the piston is with something a bit higher end, perhaps je pistons or another similar name.
the transmission should also be upgraded, with this much horsepower u would need something with more beef to support it all .. a good one would be a 4G63 or if it fits a Tremec T56.
Also, the exhaust would need to be upgraded, titanium & stainless steel r usually the norm for aftermarket equipment .. for ur engine, something from greddy or apex'i would be a decent choice.

anyways l could go into more detail .. so l hope this answer helps u out in ur quest to hit the 1000 horsepower u seek

Get on the free forums linked above & get the best advice which will allow u to buy the best mods & advise on boost etc ,after all u want the best power & to look after ur money without causing any damage to ur rb engine.
Also with traders using the forums this will give u a better price when needing to buy something as well as part numbers.

Find someone that knows what they are doing. If you have to ask this question, you are not ready to do it.

Do you really know what you're doing? If you had an rb26 you would know what needs to be done for a 1000hp. Also to the guy that said you need to put t28s on it, your an idiot, twin t28s is good for about 400hp idiot

Bore it out to 2.8 liters or so, bigger turbos, new pistons, cams, rods, etc.
