everything that l have read about these trucks indicates that they were practically bulletproof...is that hype, or were they really that good?

My brother has one and it is still going strong with the original drive train at 278,000 miles. He is really hard on vehicles too, so l would say they can definitely take some punishment.

l retired mine at 325k but to get over my grief l bought an 06 frontier, l imagine l will get the same service from this one too, and l tend to beat my trucks pretty hard

Buy 80 is toyota had one with over a quarter of a million miles, died when l parked it for an extended period of time(4 months). If l had not parked it, it would probably still be running today.

No hype my friend. This is what brought the low rider trucks into play in the 80's. These trucks just do not die. Its even hard to find them up for sale because they are cheap and easy to fix and very reliable, even with extreme high mileage (200k plus). Only light truck that came close was mazda is b2200 series, but l rate this truck a distant 2nd.

there tuff rugged l have a 2002 nissan frontier 2 wd with a 4 cylinder and it can haul a huge boat trailer with the boat in it and it stills goes strong.i would definitely recommend
