just got it but has that to come along with it

could be numerous things.but if the rpm is jumping at idle also it could be an air leak in the intake system. l had this problem and resolved it with an aftermarket intake. could also just need a tune up, maybe a clogged injector

change the spark plug, if its still rough check the ignition harness maybe theirs current leak somewere. If its a carb/injection check the fuel/air mixture.maybe its clogged or the idle fuel control vacuum .

as we can see its an old car so can be just dirt in some of the sensors most of the times cleaning the mass air flow sensor and cleaning the idle control valve doing this will cost you around 20 dollars if you do it yourself and just in case the problem was not solved at least you have done a maintenance to your car

Rough idle could be a number of things. Could be bad oxygen sensors, loss of compression, bad spark plugs, faulty air flow meter, dirty distrubtor, bad plug wires. l could keep going. Do a full tune-up and the compression checked.

Check spark plugs, o2 sensor, maf sensor, idle air controll valve, fuel filter, and do other basic maintenance on it. It is a great car but it is an old car.
