My lil gas saver wo not start and l am perplexed. It is an automatic with 1.6L. It wo not even turn over, l get lights and chimes, but no clicking or anything when l turn the key over.
l have checked the battery, replaced the distributor cap, button, spark plugs and wires, checked all fuses and relays, and checked to make sure l was getting powerthe starter.
The only two things that l have not done is replace the coil and the ignition switch itself.
If anyone knows what this is please let me know!!!!
oh yeah, taking the starter off is not a simple feat, it is against the firewall, above the transaxle and cross-member, so needless to say, ''taking it down to autozone'' is not an option

You have been very thorough. You are right. The only possibility would be a defective switch. Did you replace the battery cables too? It could be the starter. Try to bang it with a hammer a bit. If it starts, that is it. Good Luck!

yes l would start with the starter. you can take it off take it to autozone and they can tell you if its good or not.. start there.. also check ALL the fuses my 2001 sentra is having the same problem and ive been advised to check all the fuses.. mine are all good though lol, in a bit of a dilemma..
