l wanna know because i've been into 240 is for a few years nowand i'm just curious. was it for smog reasons or maybe cost? could someone please shed some light on the subject. details would be appreciated. thanks!

Thats like asking why 2+2=4. No one hear can give you the correct answer to that question. It is a decent engine l would just buy one with an SR already in it but thats me.

It is because the KA motor was already legal in California and the United States so it made sense to Nissan because it would cost far less money to just use that instead of trying to legalize a CA/SR motor.
